What brand is your suspension spring? I've always wanted to get rid of my block for one of those...

How do you rate the mudguard easy wheels on the black lacquer?
-
• #9554
I didn’t like the stock easywheel that came with it, it didn’t roll very smooth at all. I replaced it first with a smoother one from bikegang but the bolts kept coming loose. Bikegang were very good and sent me a whole new unit but in the meantime I added the double mudguard easy wheel, it was very cheap UK stock from Amazon - they’ve stayed put. The rubber tyres on them do keep popping off though so I’ll be putting the bikegang one on soon. The other easy wheels are Joseph Kuosac ones from Bikegang, except I’ve put them on an extendable thing that I bought from Amazon. Love the extendable thing as it stops the bike from falling over quite so much

Thanks for all the info. My handlebars are slightly too wide so drag when I roll the folded bike, I think those large mudguard wheels could lift it a few mm so I don't have to cut the bars down. Extendable thing looks sturdy too!

Got loads of brakes, levers, and other bits to clear out from storage if anyone is in need!

I still need a rim for 3-sp rear if you have one?!
-

I've put on a new sprocket, should there be a wee bit of lateral play?
The sprocket is a snug fit, it's the part that it's attached to that's moving.

Ti parts spindle, front wheel, cones keep coming loose.
Any ideas? -

What hub is it, SA 3-sp?
-
• #9561
Do you mean the cones are coming loose because the lock nuts aren’t holding tight?
-
• #9562
Yeah. When I hold the black plastic Spacer I can wiggle the whole part a couple of mill laterally. There's also a tiny bit of play in the axle which I can feel when I push the rim.

Mine (3 speed) is the same!
-
• #9564
No I tighten it using cone spanners so it's not binding, but it keeps developing play.
-
• #9565
Cool. In that case I'll just assume its normal and stop being a hypochondriac over the bike!
-
• #9566
Yeah should be a touch of play!

Thanks again 🙂

What’s the story on stock of Bromptons now? Everything getting pre-ordered before it comes into stock or just no stock getting made?
-
• #9569
Struggling on parts to complete bikes, who’s looking?

Just my never ending pondering!

• #9571
Have you any chain tensioners or 44t chainrings?
-
• #9572

no 44t currently!
-
• #9573
I mean, I have a 6 speed wheel I could nick the rim off just to please you.

How much work is it to redo the brake/shifter cables if I put one of those midrise Jack Kuosac bars on my S-type bike?
Thanks
