That’s a really good price.
Proper solid bits of kit.
I was looking for one until recently, but lucked into a really good price Neo 2T.

I've ordered one through Wiggle a couple of days ago for £790 but actually think they might not have it in stock as the order hasn't progressed at all so expecting a negative follow up email and might use that deal

I've improvised a trainer desk by clamping an old shelf from a billy bookcase in my lifeline workstand. pro-tip for anyone else who might need a similar solution

I used a 10% discount code, which Bike Tart happened to have sent a year ago in a 'we haven't seen you in a while' email. Its probably account specific, as you need to log into an account to use it.
Brings it to £1012.50 with free delivery.

Kickr Core with Climb thing or Kickr premium without? Assuming stock levels. What would you go for?

Kickr Core with Climb thing
this

• #3383
Yeah core is more than enough for all but the biggest legs.
-
• #3384
is climb thing good or dumb
-
• #3385
Kicker bike ;-)

Tacx Flux S or Kickr Core? Tacx one looks more solid.
-
• #3387
make that decision on two things; fly-wheel weight and if you ever want to use the kickr climb as its only compatible with wahoo trainers
-
• #3388
Much appreciated.

Why people care about kickr climb so much? Is a zwift thing? I really like climbing but really, turbo is turbo and having an artifact lifting my wheel will hardly make it like the real thing.
If anything it will move my upper body out of the fan for some fresh air in the fruits. -

I got the trainer today, setup the kids' bike on it. 1 hour and 45 minutes later, it won't power on anymore because one of my knobhead kids has booted the power lead and broken the socket in the trainer.

kickr and kickr core back in stock on wahoo website btw
-
• #3392
Is it the socket or the male end that’s damaged? Replacement power bricks aren’t too expensive.

Are there any exercise bikes worth buying that fall between the Argos shite and £££ Pelotons? Would like something to set up in the attic for me and the OH, so can't be bothered faffing about swopping bikes off a turbo.

Is £1960 delivered in that sweet spot? If so, have a look at the Atom but it's a long wait..

It's the bit on the unit itself. I've ordered a power brick as well, hopefully sports direct will do an exchange

The Kickr Core looks much less stable than the Kickr footprint. Have any Core owners noticed instability?
-
• #3397
Was hoping for more like half that...
-
• #3398
Depends on whether you want it to work with zwift, trainerroad, Sufferfest etc.
There are good quality spin bikes etc in that range, but none that I can think of that outputs power to those devices or has erg control.
-
• #3399
Nope. Although never done anything more than seated sprints, I'm more worried about my frame than the base of the Core, it seems sturdy enough to me (76kg)

Yeah, not particularly fussed about it talking to Zwift etc; though power data in some format would obviously be good for structured training.
I've ordered a Saris H3 here - https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/saris-h3-turbo-trainer-ps68719-with-next-day-delivery-3635199
sports direct though - soz
works out at £687.19
I've had the kids on my dumb turbo today watching a race DVD, but they worked out that they weren't actually controlling anything. Pesky f'ing kids
