You may remember me from such films as On One Pompino owners and SSCX Only! but I've flipped the wheel to a 20t so am now #fixedforwinter Posts in this thread are good inspiration to get back into the woods. Can't decide if the TT sticker is funny, stupid or culturally insensitive (or a mix of all three). Anyway it's fun bike!

Love it. Ready for a bottle cage and away you go

Is there a source of 650b fixed rear wheels without custom building/diy?

6 bolt disc wheel and bolt-on cog?
-
• #286
So a front disc + spacers? Presumably a bolt on axle then?

https://www.velosolo.co.uk/faq.html
All info here and you can buy the stuff from there too.
I specifically bought the Shimano M756 hub because they recommended it and all the bits from there fit but you can use other hubs.

That’s incredibly helpful! Thank you!

Here's mine - epic BB height, steep headtube and not much front tyre clearance - next step will probably be a more roomy/rakish fork and maybe even a brake.
@young_gun has the same frame, we believe it to be FGFS.
all sorts of fun tho and bar-spins with ease

next version shouldn't include that stem, you should sell it to me so i can dispose of it

Keep your eyes peeled on ebay - I paid a quid for it so presumably there's no retro-geek tax on non-pristine ones!

Hive mind, is there a simple enough rule of thumb when in increasing the fork ATC the effect on the head angle?
My Dart will squeeze a 35c on the back so i'm considering getting a touring/cross fork for the front so i can play on gravel/mud.
Alternatively what's the gappiest tapered road fork around 370 ATC that isn't Whiskey money?

Surly Steamroller fork would be bang on. But then you would be looking at a steel fork
(Scrap that completely missed the part where you said tapered) -

1cm = 1 degree ish

There's Hope CR reducers i can use for straight steerers but the Surly has a 30mm rake and my frame uses a road fork.
A Big Block looking fork with 43-45mm rake would be nice.

I threw some 26" wheels on mine and suddenly the frame makes more sense
-
• #298
Wicked, do you have any pics? What rear tyre width can you manage?
-
• #299
Think this is a 1.6 or 1.75" which was a bit too large without clearenceing the chain stays (random basement wheels)

Ah yes, that does look good. I tried a 2.1" and it didn't get anywhere near the axle
BITD I used Specialized Hardpack tyres which were 1.5" tan wall, they'd be great on that - sadly they've long since been discontinued
Conti do one https://www.fawkes-cycles.co.uk/7619/products/continental-xc-tyre-26x15-bk-fld.aspx
The profile cranks look great too.
A few of my stupid fixed dirt rides, stupid as in stupid fun.
