Yeah it’s good, if you’re fine with the bag hanging directly below the bars (as opposed to in front). Which does work better with most ahead GPS mounts. And now they seem to have fixed the issue of the fastenings loosening over time.
I don’t rate the shoulder strap attachment though. It’s just good on the bike.

What's this about?
order item, get mail days later saying item on its way, subsequent day get email saying recent ordered item is out of stock. -

I used the softshell as a midlayer on a hard effort ride today and it was great. LS merino, soft shell and PTJ and felt great the whole way round. Until I had the worst bonk of my whole life maybe, but that's nothing to do with the layering

No.
In other news:
I’ve been using the Albion burner this f500 and it’s been superb. Worn with an insulated gilet and I’ve really loved it. Once the temp rose above about 15°, I’d take my insulated gilet off and the burner still did a really nice job of keeping my core warm. Thoroughly recommended. -

I'd imagine it's annoying to remove/put in place mid-ride?
-
• #35609
Errrrr no. You unzip half of your jersey, take it out and zip your jersey up.
-
• #35611
That’s quite stressful to watch.

Help - I'm building a road bike for the first time and now need to buy kit to transform into my inner future mamil - to ride the fucker. Don't expect I will be riding till March and will only do so in the dry, although possibly early starts . What am I likely to need to wear for typical 1-2 hrs of riding ? I currently only have one merino short sleeve jersey (howies) and a helly hanson LS base layer - so i'm basically starting from scratch here.

Right now?
I go with:
Dhb rain defence bibs (pad)
Ls base layer
Ls perfetto
Gilet (though a burner is sounding pretty rad right now)If it's not raining then swap the perfetto for something like the deep winter and drop the gilet.
Also gloves/over shoes.
Ah, I see march. Is usually wetter and colder right? And early starts
Shorts and leg warmers
Gloves
Base layer
Perfetto (ls)
Overshoes -

Doesn’t matter if it’s Rapha or Decathlon/PlanetX but you could do a lot worse than;
Short sleeve baselayer
SS jersey
Arm warmers
Bibs
Leg warmers (cheap are fine)
Packable full finger gloves (cheap are fine)
Toe thingies (cheap are fine)
A cap or buff for yer headAnd...
A thin, packable softshell gilet or jacket, maybe goretex. If you go for a gilet perhaps buy decent arm warmer like Sportful NoRain or similar.

Oh, and you’ll probably want some shoes.

Good shorts gloves and shoes . Everything else is expendable .
If you find whats right buy a second set before it gets changed again #assosshpeshgirorapha. -

That’s solid.

Unsurprisingly it was planned in Gazetta print, but never made it to production. Le Col's version, the Front Cover, launches next week. As discussed, they are great and not just for alpine descents.

Will the PT shoes come back in stock in pink/purple or were they limited edition?

Anyone own some Sportful as well as Rapha and can tell me how they compare size wise?
-
• #35624
What items particular Are you looking to compare? I wear Medium for all Rapha/Sportful/Castelli gear, the exception being Large for Castelli/Sportful bibs.
-
• #35625
OK thanks. I seem to be M in everything up till now, Castelli, Rapha, Assos. I was looking at the Fiandre bibs and Jersey.
A few years back I tried some hotpack Gilet's but the sizing was odd and I think I found the XL a good fit.
About £100-135 different.
