Agreed, here’s a heartwarming video of people seeing in the new year where there is no COVID.

If your hands aren't dry, cracked and you're not wincing everytime you use alcohol gel, you're not washing your hands enough.
Make sure you wet hands first, then use soap.
I reserve alcohol gel for when I can't access water and soap.

TBF; law aren't clear on that (wearing mask outside)
I get that. I just wish people would consider that if they’re walking within kicking distance behind a stranger for several minutes, it would probably be safer if everyone had a mask on, whether or not the law explicitly requires it.

I'd agree with that, my hands are dry and cracked from soap/hand washing.
-

The law is fairly clear. You have to wear a mask in the same places you aren't allowed to smoke.
Outside isn't smoke-free tho? (unless there's designated area).

I will add:
If you are within spitting distance of someone, you should be wearing a mask.
If you have the rather disgusting habit of spitting long distance, you should really be wearing a mask at all times, or maybe even a muzzle.

To clear things up, outdoors areas can sometimes be considered indoors.
Typically with non smoking signs and designated areas. -

If your hands aren't dry, cracked and you're not wincing everytime you use alcohol gel, you're not washing your hands enough.
Or if you hands are dry etc you are going out too much.
I'm fortunate to be able to work from home and most of my shopping is delivered so not a lot of hand washing for me.

2020 was the year I developed knuckle eczema for the first time.
With the stress, hand washing and compulsive baking they stood no chance.

Was told this morning that my sisters father in law is unlikely to make it through the rest of today.
The desire to go and shout at covidiot cunts on social media is high right now

Sad news . Been their myself at this time of year. Its so frustrating . Only time is a healer you don't get over it you learn to live with it.
-
• #19039
True. And not saying I haven't done it myself, I'm sure I have- just worth reminding ourselves who is really responsible, if anyone.
Very sorry to hear that James.

All primaries in London not opening now.
-
• #19043
Yup. Fucking hell they cannot find a policy that they cannot backtrack from because everyone else points out that they they haven't applied a single shred of their expensive educations to coherent thought to the problem.

It’s just the government following the science...
Months later. After not following the science by keeping schools open. And threatening to sue schools that closed.
-
• #19045
This is a slow motion disaster. New variant COVID is already overrunning the NHS and cases keep going up & up. Don't have a heart attack or a car crash in the next few months people :(

It’s just the government following the science...
It isn't. It is the government not having the slightest idea what it is doing. There are reasonable arguments for and against opening schools. There is no logic to closing Barnet primary schools but not Haringey.

Didn’t think I needed the /s
-
• #19048
Is there logic to closing London primary schools but not those in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, etc?
-
• #19049
Well, I would imagine, so that as many parents/carers as possible can go to work rather than having to home school?

It’s just the government following the science...
They all have fucking Classics and History degrees!
They "read Classics" whatever the fuck that means.
