I guess will probably first change the chianset and see if they rub - shimano compatability seemingly cautious.
I guess the question stems from there being no compatability chart that lists compatability between the front deraeuller and rear deraulliers.
1mm difference is nothing, adjust the derailleur limits and tension if necessary.
