Wow, coldest ride of the year with zero and sub-zero temps for 5 hours. F500 done.
-
• #2878
-2° average for mine. Silly!
I just had to go up and back on a low altitude A road. Any deviation towards an interesting route and there was too much ice across (even the gritted) roads. Would have been fine with studded tyres.
I watched a poor girl wreck her VW Golf (she was ok).

Many thanks!

It’s good, overall. The country is still a little new to road cycling so drivers are slightly unsure how to share the road, but they’re not aggressive. Landscape-wise, it’s incredible. Over 75% of Japan is mountains, so it’s great for those that like climbing (fortunately, I’m one of those).

Glad I did this last year instead, I didn't wear gloves at any point looking back at the photos. Well done everyone*.
*NH situated and able to do it outdoor people only

Done, all outdoors. Easy ride catching up with an old housemate and keeping to the more well used Epping roads to avoid the ice today. Now for some cans.

My tough guy chat about mild weather kicked me in the balls today. Yuk

I'm done. Six rides, plenty of variety. Around northern Sjælland (I'm in Copenhagen). No snow or ice but standard DK winter: 2-3°, thin cold rain, grey grey grey.
Who else has the hump cos there are no IRL woven badges on offer this time? I have a collection of five, wanted another!

Full #rep to everyone who finished. A fairly tricky year to complete this one. Also lol #Roundelgate
I bailed on the 220 mark of an off road (non-committal) effort

• #2893
still on the isen?
-
• #2894
I did all of 2017 and 2020 on my Isen, yes. It is absolutely perfect for steady long distance cruising - super smooth and comfortable @coldharbour
2019 was fully fixed on my Burls (it was colder here in DK, with ice and salty roads => titanium and fixed gear)

Kudos for everyone riding it this year, definitely one of the coldest one I’ve experienced for a while.
Also during my adventure I was glad to whiteness this as well:

I think this year might have broke me. Haven't wanted to do anything since and feel sluggish. Anyone else still recovering?

• #2897
Did 56km on the 31st.

Not exactly pumped full of enthusiasm given the weather but have done another 200k since then. Like I said, having time off instead of working over the "hols" has made it easier.

That's good to hear hippy, this was the hardest year of the three I did so far.
Today’s ride put me on an 666km, sounds about right for 2020...
