Regarding seatpost. Give it a quick clean or measure the top non-scuffed section using thin paper wrapped around it, then divide by our to get a more accurate measurement until you can get your hands on some callipers...
Doesn't look too far off the brochure but it does have Sachs shifters and front derailleur and Shimano rear! I think its been in the family since new but can't explain the odd bits and I'm new to the scene.
