Went for this too. Dyson just did a die after nearly 6 years of service. Shame they can't be refurbished, most of it is still functional.
Sure there are third parties who will refurbish Dysons?
I took mine to an old guy in Lewisham, came back like new. Must be 9 years old now, I've replaced a few bits myself too, it's basically Triggers broom now.
