I tried a lot of the smaller cameras before plumping for the X100 - the Sony was strongly recommended and reviewed well, but was amazingly hard to hang onto, being small and very slick. I chose the Fuji because I was much less likely to drop it, given the rubberised grips, and the shape of the body itself. The Sony is like a bar of wet soap in comparison, and I could just see it lying on the floor in rather more parts than its designer intended.
