Brown socks over black tights is a horrendous look.
I like the bike. He doesn’t deserve it.

Lol indeed, don't know what he was thinking when he was at the rapha store getting those socks. When I started out cycling I was very guilty in my fashion choices. At least he didn't buy a black on black canyon ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Where socks over/under tights are concerned: I'd it depends on how snug the tights fit around your ankles. -

Been lurking for awhile.. picked up a ‘98 GT Edge Ti and it came with a Grammo and Ti Campy Seatpost.
Have a 11 Speed Dura Ace, Columbus Minimal, Black CK Threadless, Cannondale SiSl Crankset, and a pair of Zipp Wheels to go with it. For the cockpit, with my spare parts, unsure if I should go for:
1) Black Carbon Seatpost/Stem/Handlebar (31.8)
2) Titanium Threadless Stem / Ti Seatpost / Carbon Bar (31.8)
3) Stick with the Quill and find 26mm BarsThoughts?

Hmmm, some pics needed here. Sounds great.
Don't forget to soak the ti post in antiseize pasta if you decide to use that one...

Oh you tease! The quil grammo is hard to slam all te way, so perhaps switch for an itm eclypse?
-
• #2808
I have a spare Eclypse or two. Swap for the Grammo? 😁

What do you mean by this?
There is a part stuck in the frame that you can't get out?

That’s super nice.

Looks lovely! I would keep the grammo on it.

Wonderful bike. Love it.

Yeah that GT's supercool. I still vote for a ti eclypse stem (though the grammo is nice, just unslammable and the tubing is quite skinny), DA 7700 headset and some skinny straight forks (wound up?). Or straight aero blade forks, zipp 808s and while you're at it, ahead grammo :) Forgive me I had a couple of beers already

upgraded my Rondinella to 11 speed and changed the bar tape to some garish raspberry. Quite pleased all told.

Might try and find some matching dark pink pedals if such a thing exists in Look compatible pedals, find a better water bottle and then, nearer summer, I have some nice dark grey anodised N.O.S Mavic CXP12 rims that I'm going to get built up on black Record hubs for summer wheels. (As I can't afford carbon rims or Tune hubs...)

Lovely 753 👌🏻
I imagine it’s quite light too

The point of these MGOFs is that they are fully functional modern road machines, so I think shallow bars are acceptable. All decisions should be made for ridability. Whenever I see one with classic bars, I think that’s for the look, which is not what MGOF is about IMO.
I've done many thousands of miles on this, with these bars:
(Now rebuilt with a slightly different build kit, but same stem/bars/seatpost).

Lovely, actually am digging bright bartape at the moment!

Some slightly deeper wheels would go with the frame I reckon.
That is so clever
