I can’t find the primary schools opening later on the gov site. Seems inevitable it’ll include london.

Yup. Our primary school class parents WhatsApp groups has exploded into an emoji fest.
No school until the 18th. NOW the parents are concerned about the way the pandemic has been handled....

Lewisham and Greenwich not on there slightly oddly. Given Greenwich’s position prior to Christmas.

Jan 18th? Ha.
The rumour (and it is just that) is they won't be going back until after half term at the earliest.

We're also not on the list in Kingston, but Richmond are, yet we have higher infection rate right now, but Richmond's is increasing more rapidly. As Sutton and Wandsworth are also on the list, we're almost surrounded....puzzle me baffled.

To support high quality remote education during this period, the government expects to deliver over 50,000 laptops and tablets to schools across the country on Monday 4 January, and over 100,000 in total during the first week of term. Over 1 million devices will be provided in total.

Form a socially distanced queue.

By Richmond-upon-Thames, they mean London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (and not just the neighbourhood) I assume, but looks like it doesn't include Kingston. (edited)

If you were cynical you would say that the Government is being petty and punishing them for not towing the line a couple of weeks ago
