Haven't seen Kanata's stuff specifically but there are many producers out there. Here's a little write up about the history of the Cowichan sweater, some say it's cultural appropriation unless it's knitted by the Salish.

I haven’t tbh but they don’t look that hefty in the photos. O’Connells will know the wool weight. Have you looked at kanata stuff? One of their cowichans is on my to do list.
