• Wrong. Gravel riding is all about having more than the other guy. Wider bars, more bags, more bottle mounts, bigger tires, dynamos, dropper posts, bigger range of gears, 4 pot calipers.
    The equivalent of massive 4x4 mom wagons to do the school run, many of these will be limited to 40 mile runs in the odd weekend and some commutes.

  • Except if it's a MTB, then you want to drop those chunky 27.5 tires and 140mm travel and get a downcountry rig with 29 and 120.
    Eventually everything will converge in some short of unsatisfying do it all thing the same way road bikes did.
