Just went to Tescos in Leytonstone to ... you know... get food. Fucking heaving!!!! Zero social distancing. Most notable was the contents of people’s trolleys... just massive amounts of booze and party food. Nobody gives any kind of fuck at all do they?

Everyone having NYE at home 'parties'? Busyness and lack of distancing is shit but I don't think everyone buying party food is an indication they're going to mingle

So sorry to hear that.
I hope for the best for you all.

My uncle: key worker in court
His partner: primary teacher
(Netherlands)So both people facing can't WFH roles.
Brother luckily avoided it helping them move my uncles brother, mask wearing, cleaning hands etc.
Some shops are rammed in Belfast people getting wine and treats...my partner went 'nah' drove to a tiny wine shop out if the way that was quiet and turned back.
He has cases at work their workshop can't WFH 1 in workshop (extra cleaning separated shifts) and a few in office where you can't go in unless you really need to be in, 2 meters distance etc.
But who knows where they got it...T&T only works if people really track their contacts. And with school age kids...pretty hard.

Christmas and New Year period is going to accelerate this virus into a bit of a tsunami into 2021. I can only see it getting a lot worse before it gets better.
Exactly my thoughts too. I hope everyone on here remains safe and well. I'm WFH and the only person I have regular contact with is the cashier at Tesco so it really boils my piss to hear people still mulling around and not being smart about this.
I really do hope things don't get worse into Jan but unfortunately I can't see that happening now.

Didn't think the antibodies lasted that long.

Spoke to a few friends and missed my opportunity to infect people on a hunt.
Now there is a prime example of anyone that took part in this barbaric practice should be hunted by dogs, and any one the have socialised with and so on. That would solve two issues at once. Who is with me....

Fucking Tories. They keep saying "the vaccine is a great British success" etc. - no one gives a shit you fucking clowns! No amount of flag-waving compensates for being managed by a bunch of fucking goons with the collective foresight of an earthworm

That's what I was wondering. The studies there've been are very contradictory; one says antibodies are short lived, a month later another study says they're much longer lasting than first thought

Obvs. But you can easily see the difference between someone preparing to pop a few corks with their housemates and people planning a massive knees up.

Yep my wife works in M&S :(

It was MAD day before as well. The park was as busy as it is in the summer, drivers doing loops of the park in the hopes of getting a parking spot. Cunts.

I mean I can work my way through quite a lot of pringles, but 12 tubes is a lot for a quiet night in...
-
• #18891
Right? Two trollies of beer and wine, a dozen or more bags of Doritos...
-
• #18892
Is this how 'getting trollied' came about?
-
• #18894
Sounds about right. Getting absolutely shit faced and stuffing my face with flaming hot Doritos would be a fitting end to this year.

Getting absolutely shit faced and stuffing my face with flaming hot Doritos would be a fitting end to this year.
Almost exactly our plan for tomorrow night.

• #18896
I'm kinda tempted now too

Everyone getting smashed on canned beer, face crusted in flaming hot Dorito powder, crying tears of sadness in a Zoom party.

• #18898
Sorry to hear that hope he'll be ok.

Thanks for all the kind words for my partner’s father. No change today but the hospital has asked if he can be included in studies involving aspirin, two types of plasma and another drug. She’s going through the details but likely to agree to all but aspirin (due to another condition). He should get plenty of attention!

Waterloo Sunset
Who knows? I don't know when I had covid, if I've had it more than once or anything really, other than it looks like I've had it.
Feb was the most likely symptom wise, but most unlikely in terms of the timing - i.e. I wasnt travelling or particularly interacting with people who had travelled. I know no one else from that time that had what I had.
It's not clear how long these antibodies hang around. I imagine we'd be hearing from China about how those who were first infected have faired antibody wise as this will be an indication of how long vaccination would last. As it is, the internet is still saying 6 months plus for antibodies. Feb is over 10 months ago now, so if that was it, it's would be quite reassuring I've still got some form of resistance. Alternatively I caught it more recently and probably spread it around like nobodies business completely unaware.
