Broken Hanger

Should be pretty easy to drill out the rivets. I'd use epoxy + rivets when fitting the new one.
I have a hanger I took off my HC bike if you want it. Mine is probably older though - have a look at Cannondale spare parts and see if it's ever changed. Think mine is around 2014/15

thanks for the info dbr,
my clubmate was thinking he'd need to get a new frame!! I've not used rivets before do they need something inserted in the seat tube to flatten them when installing?

Contact Cannondale to see what they have to say. What's the warranty on the frame? This shouldn't happen.

You need a pop rivet gun, something like this.
If you're new to all this it's probably worth taking it to a trusted LBS for them to take care of it.

+1. If he's the original owner send it back. If you drill it say goodbye to the warranty.

Doesn't the Cannondale warranty exist in name only?

The frame was bought as used so I guess warranty is a no go......apparently it's a common fault on these frames!

I've sent some Cannondale frames back. Wasn't fast, but they got warrantied no problem

You’re welcome to this for the price of postage. Looks like they were 3.2mm rivets, so drill out with 3mm. You’ll need stainless replacements.

this happened on my old focus cayo - riveted hanger sheared off carbon frame. mechanic at LBS just taped round seattube (not sure what tape he used) and then I used a band-on front mech for the next 10k miles with no issues
A club mate has asked me to see if I can sort out a problem on his Cannondale Super Six Evo carbon frame in that his riveted front hanger has broken off from the seat tube (see pic). Has anyone had a similar experience as this being carbon and riveted.....if I manage to get hold of a replacement hanger is it do'able? cheers Griff
