Each to their own, but having owned and ridden Aluminium, Steel, Carbon and Titanium frames I've found Titanium by far and away the best. YMMV though.

I've got an ICAN which I've had for 5 years and has been pretty good. Models have changed since I bought mine, but I'd certainly get another from them. Never been a problem to get spares like extra mech hangers.

Heading to China next year for a job, probably gonna be spending a few months each year there from now on. Thinking about getting local frames: a track frame and a road(CX) frame to start with.

Any suggestions? brand, manufacturer, taobao or alibaba shop? or frame builder?

Heard Colossi was making it in Shenzhen but no more, anyone have experience with their stuff?
Maxway from Taiwan makes awesome steel frame, think they do OEM for Surly(?) and Genesis (?), but cant seems to get just one or two frames...

Are you going to be in SZ? Factory5 in SH was always my starting point. I'm sure the guys there could point you in the right direction if nothing else.

I remember @penguinspring having some useful info many years back when I was there - don't know what his location is now!

Has any one around about my size ordered any Spexcel stuff and could comment on fit?

I'm 1.90m tall, currently 93kg naked and 44 chest. Most of my road kit is Castelli in size XXL or XL. Recently bought Castelli stuff is xxl and fits well, my xl Castelli stuff was bought in years gone by when I was more like 85kg. It still fits but just a tad snug...

I've read that you need to size up with the spexcel stuff. Has anyone ordered XXL Spexcel and still found it too small?

I'm a similar size (2m, 88kg, 44 chest, Castelli XXL) found XXL to be a good fit but on the slightly small side

Ok thanks for the info. I think I'll chance it with XXL then. It's likely I'll be at least sub 90kg once I start bashing out the miles again so it should be ok.

How have you found the quality and lifespan of the spexcel stuff? Stitching etc? I suppose it's nearly a quarter of the price of the branded stuff so I'm not really hoping for too much.
