You'll get neckache on the long mountain stages on next year's Tour like that.
I'd go for what you said with the 2.5 seater, then maybe with a nice armchair in the bay for quiet reflection where you can't see the TV?
Or a nice storage bench with cushions on to throw child rubbish in.
