  • Right, who is the Aeropress guy/gal on here.

  • Inverted method, 16-18g filter ground coffee, 90C water up to 240ml, 2:5 min steep, light stir to break crust, two papers pre-rinsed in carrier screwed on, squeeze all air out then flip onto cup and press over 30 secs. That’s roughly what I do.

  • Pretty much same here, can't remember the dose I use as my aeropress has been in the office since March. I opted for a fine metal mesh as opposed to the paper ones also

  • Thanks, I was not too far off today in my first attempts. For a start I used the "aeropress" mark on the Wilfa and that's quite a bit finer than filter ground though. Also isn't 240ml a lot of water for a single dose? For a longer coffee they seem to suggest adding water after making a "shot", I'm wondering if that makes any difference.

@mmccarthy I'll buy a metal filter as soon as I finish the paper ones.

  • 2:5 min steep

What does this bit mean? I know what steep means, just can’t work out minutes.
