If you want to look like you're racing, use any road crank and move the sprocket outboard 5mm from typical track alignment to fix the chain line at about 47mm.
For a commuter bike, the Alfine FC-S501 crank gives a 42.7mm chain line which is close enough to common track spec along with a guard to keep your socks clean.
I'm returning to the world of fixed, having just picked up a Ti Burls frame.
I need some advice/recommendations on crankset if possible. The BB shell is BSA68 I believe and currently holds a Shimano RS500 BB. When I last had a fixed I ran Sugino 75's and had no issues with them, but wondering what else I should be looking at. Price is a factor here as realistically this isn't going to be my main ride, but I want a crankset that is well made, ideally silver and if compatible with hollow tech BB's that would be a bonus.
