I know this gets asked fairly often and apologies for repeating it, but does anyone have a recommendation for an app or programme to get into running?
Also, I'm flat footed and have knee hyper extension. Has anyone else had any experience with these and running, and any advice on shoes or exercises to mitigate any pain/discomfort?
If you have specific requirements I’d be tempted to get a gait assessment to get your feet right. The staff at these places are normally pretty knowledgable or could refer you elsewhere if need be.
My advice - take it steady, go slow and try and enjoy it.
Go to a real podiatrist who focuses on running and pay £300 for some proper shoe inserts.
Gait analysis on a treadmill in a shop is generally about as useful as astrology. “Look I drew a green line on the screen” this means you need some new ASICS Kayano
