  • Did you open it? After half the bottle I missed the second half of Home Alone 2.

I’m refreshed from my nap, having a Kriek Mariage Parfait 2016 & then going to see how the second half goes

  • Some good drinks knocking about. I'm only just home from driving duties so rather than crack a 660ml Imperial (8.4units) having a small can 3.6u/11%) instead. Gifted a few more beers today too.

  • Very pleased with my stocking fillers this morning (plus a couple of issues of Wild Walk). Accidentally dun both before lunch, but hey it’s Christmas.

  • How was the Bearded Lady? Common Grounds is a dependable choice for me for low ABV stout on the regular.

  • No held strong, I had a bunch of the Belgian Christmas beers so worked through those instead

  • Something light to kick off boxing day!

  • How was the Bearded Lady?

It was very good, subtle flavours in comparison to the BABS I had a few days back but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

  • Good to hear. I tend to find lots of the gangbusters 10%+ imperials a bit samey; the sheer strength of it in general tends to override the subtle flavours.

I'll put it on the list!

  • The "typical" flavour is what I really enjoy - although I tend to like most of the other ones too...

  • Something lighter this evening though.

  • Also on the pink elephant beers. Delirium Christmas edition for me, 10% and pokey.

  • This is great

  • Jealous! I'm going to the Buxton tap room asap.

  • Digging out some of the rarer bottles from the stash. Dryer and Brettier than I'd expected, but rather good. May now have to seek out Marble's current Old Ale offerings...

  • Woof. Best I've had in a while; real cherry flavour and a pleasant sourness to it. Gonna feel it tomorrow though!

  • Enjoying this. The Islay barrel isn't overpowering things in terms of taste, but adds a nice dryness to things. Drinks easier than you'd expect from 750ml of 8.5%.

  • Sounds right up my street. 12%! Cripes

  • ^^^ yeah, that looks banging.

  • Enjoy, I miss my trips there.

Last of the big 3 tonight. Scotch Barrel Aged...

  • ^ warming.

  • Oiii love it. That's some night night juice.

  • Christ! How are you feeling today?

  • The pastry stouts from Three Hills have been excellent ...

(I've clearly reached the part of lockdown where I'm normalising a £9 can of beer)
