I'm looking at you Gravel thread.
I'm genuinely sorry

I have seen things you people wouldn't believe...

I love a quote from Citizen Kane!
@abcdcbadabc, just go for it, I still ride a 74/75 Gios from 1982 with a 14cm stem, it makes me smile. Just warning you of the pitfalls. I guess this is alloy, in such a small frame it will be super stiff and give you a bit of a kicking, but who cares at that price?
-
• #32
yeah i already sent them an email to place an order. full send!

Spend the money you've saved on the frame on quality shorts, saddle and bar tape.
-
• #34
of course. I already got myself a Fabric saddle.

One of my favourite movies. Tom cruise at his best.

True, but the Stephen Seagal cameo in the origami scene was an inspired moment.

I mean, if you actually want constructive feedback, it’d be good to know what you’ve ridden before, what you weren’t happy with, what size bikes you’ve ridden etc. But it sounds like your mind has been up.

I had this in the past. As you can see I'm short as well . My geometry was a bit more "normal" and the bike was super fast and stiff but for a every day bike was not the best. Mind you I still regret selling it

edit; wrong bike!

I'm not the thread opener and I would not want a bike with 77° seat tube. I just posted my ex bike to show how a similar size bike with a more regular geometry look and to say that even with my geometry it was already quite a wild ride

I see. Would the amount of trail I have on my design balance out the steep angles? Edit: That's a really nice bike. Looks tight with the 30mm rake fork

Honestly, I’ve already made up my mind and will be ordering what I have designed. I wanted something crazy but not too crazy. I’ve ridden bikes with 77 degree head tube angle and it was okay for me. I’ll keep this thread posted about the frame I’m ordering. Take me as something like a test subject if you want. I’ll talk about the geometry when the frame is fully built up. However it might take months. Thanks for all the input.

You piqued my curiosity; what bike did you rode that have a 77 degrees head angle??
-
• #47
old school bmx. I KNOW it’s a different bike, but literally bombed a hill on it. It was a bit sketch but it’s alright.
-
• #48
Don’t think anyone even made a giant road-going BMX track bike before.
-
• #49
I said it was a different bike. It’s an old school bmx.

I’m not mad, I’m impressed, a track bike base on old school BMX geometry.
Even BMW didn’t do this.
life is too short to ride boring bikes
