• Me too. I also emailed Greggs looking for some kind of sponsorship deal but they never replied. Oh well, that’s their chance of a healthy promotional angle lost. I literally ate 12 vegan steak bales on that ride. And I tagged them in every post too. Cunts.

  • See!

  • Lots of cool stuff going on in this thread

The shit in the woods was a high point.

  • I saw your blue bike parked up in Peebles a while back, lovely bike.

  • No idea how I didn't see this thread yet, but from now on I'm following with great interest.

  • That's a whole lot of steakbake

  • It’s less than 1 per hour. Not that much really.

  • It's inspired me to get out for a Greggs powered long ride!

  • Do it! Maybe you’ll be luckier with a sponsorship deal.

  • coming in with the answer to the question we were all thinking

  • Not a great deal to report on the gravel bike building front; looks like my hubs will be shipped in Jan/Feb once Chris Kings sorts its backlog out. Not that I’ll be doing much gravel riding at this time of year but it’ll be nice to get the bike built as it’s currently being stored in boxes next to my bed.

Took the wheels off my Hansom track bike and popped them on the Dolan to see how it looks. Also got some Velo Orange Postino bars and one of those Cinelli reissue stems (in 130mm length, no less). I’m liking it. I have some multicoloured Cinelli tape to use on the bars. Thinking to get some silver disc rims laced up for that full all-silver vibe and a Cinelli reissue seatpost to match.

  • Clean - I had those bars on a ss build a couple of years ago, loved them - the only thing I really miss about it tbh! I think Stoemper or Speedvagen or some other suitably fashionable brand ran them on some CX bikes which looked good too

  • How does that framebag top tube attachment work? Are there hooks on the other side or something? Where are Straight Cut from?

  • Nice! I’m looking forward to trying them out. Did you find that you had them tilted forwards or backwards at all, or were they horizontal?

  • Not quite. It uses a lace up system with a little tog to secure everything in place. Obviously takes a bit longer to install or remove but the biggest advantage I’ve found is that if you stuff the bag real full (with clothing or food, for example), you can simply slacken the lace a little allowing the bag to expand and everything to sit nice. It’s also very secure (the little top tube bag is held in place by the same lace and a small Velcro loop around the stem).

Straight Cut is based up here in Edinburgh and all handmade by one top guy, Ross.

  • I see. Cheers!

  • I even took a shit in some woods and that felt good too.

    Legend.

  • From memory they were in line with the stem which was pretty much horizontal - great for cutting about town, never did any big miles on them

  • I would like to point out it was responsibly done. I have a small digging tool for making cat holes, and it was well away from any paths or streams.

  • Nice - thanks!

  • Top bikes, pies & poo yarns. Subscribed.

  • I've also got a framebeag from Ross on my Pipedream (as well as a matching top tube bag and another half frame bag in the garage), his work is fantastic. My full frame bag laces at the top and bolts into the bottlecage mounts on the seattube and downtube.
