I'm thinking about putting an offer in... 😬😆

Edited, would you like us to go through it with you?
These are things that I am getting from the Mot checker:
Oil leak, engines leak oil for a reason, and that engine has been leaking for a while. Leaking oil is not a good sign that the car has been looked after. Modern cars have long oil change intervals and if not checked and toped up may have had the engine be low on oil. Also means the person could not be bothered to get the engine cleaned with high preasure water. Not a great idea but a cheap way to remove the oil.To it means you need to check for a rear beam failure, tyres that are matched pairs and worn the same. The spare tyre in there and in good condition. I'd budget for a matching drivers seat from Europe. Excuse to go there shop for goodies and swap your seat. It will be a few bolts and not a difficult job.
Quick google says that 306 seat fit with a bit of modification to the runners so you can get quite adustable seat to find the confortable position.

What supercar of that era is reliable?

Cheers, mate. I appreciate it. Really was hoping someone would just say "yeah, amazing everything, but it!"

Touché. Perhaps BMW M1?

They are quite popular and there are two people that have them on here. Bit too drunk to remember who. Once covid is over I am willing to go and poke cars for you.
Am doing it cos you are a nice person.

Had a 2.2 diesel cos it was really cheap and the 2nd hand car dealer did not get any person looking at it as it was the new HDI diesel. friend had the later v6 which was so much nicer and handled nicer.
Got written off by turning in to my folks drive slowly, as I was never sure where the front was, twat over took and hit the car with enough momentum to destroy 1.5m of twin brick wall and twist the car so Icould not open the door to get out.

I found two other Berlingos I'm interested in. Is it pushing the goodwill for the fourm a bit to lean on other's expertise so much? The MOTs on these actually look better, similar mileage, and they're cheaper.
I was also thinking about a Yaris Verso, which I guess are maybe more reliable, but they're also just a bit smaller which could limit the uses for us a bit.

• #61338
Major issue is that Yaris Verso is one of the worst looking cars out there.

Just looking at the pics and presentation the one in Burntwood from Carl Chapman is the one I'd choose. A parcel shelf and four hubcaps means it's the winner of the two. Also the centre of the dashboard looks like a 1960s robot.

Lol

Looking at the cars both are 1.6cc over the over being 1.4cc.
The top one has had the engine power washed, you can see that the aluminium bits have corroded from hard cleaning chemicals. Also a cover of electrics by the battery is missng, not a good thing.
The second ones rear seats look damaged compared to the first.

bagsies the front.

Aren't we a shotgun forum?

• #61345
The second one has the multi top, which gives you five little sun roofs, a load of overhead storage boxes and mini roof rails.
I have a Yaris Verso. They’re only slightly smaller than a Mk1 Berlingo, but have the big advantage that the seats fold flat. The big negative is the very low gearing - 5th gear by 30 mph and four thousand revs on the motorway.

30mph in 5th Gear?! Your wrist must ache...

Some abject fucking cunts have just stolen the cat off my wife's Jazz.
Absolutely fucking seething. Merry fucking christmas you absolute cunts.
For what, £20 in scrap. What the actual fuck is wrong with people.
Also, what can be done to prevent it in future? Fuck all I take it.
-
• #61349
This was a relatively common theft on some vehicles in 2019, particularly Prius and other models where the cat is accessible under the vehicle and therefore removable quickly with an angle grinder. My understanding is that value was more like £50-£80. There are security devices available including alarms and various locks or guards, such as Catloc.

A replacement one can be had for about that cash so I doubt it’s even that much, maybe on a Prius, but not on the jazz.
What the fuck is wrong with people.
Staying classy woth the full kit kappa suit. Fuck I used to have a large poster of that car framed in my room. Tha knowledge that they break down a lot makes me happy that I'm no millionaire.
