    Agreed. I tried a 200km loop of Greater London to stay in tier 4. Some short sections had OK lanes, but mainly just really nasty drivers close passing throughout. Unlike anything I've experienced and really draining. Will not be doing that again.

    Bailed at 120km, and rode 40 km home directly.

  • At least you got to experience the newly resurfaced section of Breakspear Road South,
    (from the Breakspear Arms to the Chiltern Line bridge).
    Previously an almost unrideable section of potholes, transverse ruts, inadequate patch repairs and poor to non-existent drainage.

  • I think about 5 miles either side of the M25 they are the worst. Real eggy bastards

  • I managed to do a tier 4 london 200km.
    I decided on a midnight start on xmas eve.
