Any recommendations?

nisbets have got a BF sale on at the moment - worth checking them out. The victorinox ones they stock always seem well reviewed on here

The Victorinox Fibrox are great value kitchen knives.

Not sure about the other types but I find the Victorinox bread knife a bit too flexy for firmer bread.

They appear to have got more expensive of late.

Cheers all, looks like Victorinox then.

Weird question but thought the hive mind might be able to give me a solid answer. My friend wants to buy a knife but they are more easily available on this side of the Atlantic. Can I buy one and send it over to him or am I breaking laws?

I'm sure I've seen some secateur chat in here before. I'm thinking of getting the Nikawi Mainichi for my girlfriend for Christmas. Is there anything else worth looking at for trimming house plants? Max budget £50 and looking nice is just as important as working well!

It's a mix of here and the gardening forum.
General consensus seems to be Felco of you want to splash the cash. But if aesthetics are important and you don't think the utilitarian Swiss look will fly, Okatsune Secateurs:

The come in different sizes too.
Also worth saying that for the intended use, you probably just need something "not shit" so I'd probably just scroll through sites that sell them looking for something you think they'll like the look of.

The niwaki tobisho secateurs are lovely. Gave my wife a pair last Christmas and she thinks they are brilliant.
If I am ever found dead of multiple stab wounds it may be my own fault, she has received a gransfors brucks axe, Michael May penknife, secateurs and this year a couple of fedeca it’s my knife kits.

Does anyone know why you use scissors for bonsai rather than secateurs?
Also does anyone have any recommendations for cheap, but not shit ones? Amazon is a nightmare for finding this sort of thing and I'm not sure if I'm being unnecessarily up sold by the bougie websites.
Cheers.
(I don't yet have a bonsai, well I sort of do but it's in the ground at the moment)

Good job you're not in the country in the US, otherwise it'd be all:

She’s very pleased with her Barrett MRAD bolt-action sniper rifle. But has she gone for a .300, .308, or .338 chambering?
-
• #3820
Pfff, I'd be impressed if there wasn't a scope on it...
-
• #3821
That’s about $16,000 of gun right there. Without the scope.

Imagine the bike you could buy for that!

Nobody rides bikes anymore, Nigel!! 😂

I had been wondering about that.
I think probably due to the shape of the tip.
I guess I could get the metal file out and grind the opinel into a spear point...
