Thanks, that’s what we’re hoping for.

Coats for doggo recommendations please. Want one that has reasonable underbody coverage but that doesn’t actually have legs (if you see what I mean).

Equafleece are very good and dry out a soggy spaniel instantly.

Have an Equafleece for the boy. He hates getting it put on but it keeps him pretty dry. They do different versions -ours has half front legs, no rear and belly coverage.
Edit - have the 'dog jumper' - looks like the polo neck coat might suit you.

Equafleece have been brilliant for Otto but if you have a sighthound, check out Redhound for Dogs.
The fit and quality is a step up from equafleece. Can particularly recommend their rain coats. They are beautifully made.

Edit: There is normally a one month lead time for Redhound as items are made to order.

Cheers - equafleece look decent. I’ve also been looking at Ruff Wear, which look good but pricey - anyone had any experience with their stuff?

We bought a Hi-vis coat for our little dog. He went out for his evening walk wearing it and hated every minute of it. He didn't do anything in the toilet department and was very sulky. He waited until we got home and then once stripped of his straightjacket went and did his business in the garden. If you've seen "Booba's New Shoes" it was very similar to that.

Odies pretty tolerant having stuff attached to him. I bought a cheap coat that he’s been wearing fairly happily - he’s even stopped trying to eat it whilst it’s being out on. It’s just a bit cheap and crap - doesn’t fit very well and just sucks water up, so I want to spend a little more and get a less shit one.
I found it really useful last night when it took him to the woods in the dusk. Black dogs not very visible in the dark unless wearing a day glow gilet.

I've had my dogs with us for the last couple of weeks, they go back to my ex tomorrow. Really not looking forward to going back to being just a one-dog household. Three is probably the optimum number of dogs.
Anyway, met a guy in the woods yesterday with a massive, beautiful 18-mth old German shepherd he'd adopted the day before. She'd spent her first 18 months locked up outside a workshop, never had any contact with other dogs or worthwhile contact with people. He said she was distraught and frantic the first day, and freaked out by everything from being indoors to being in the car. Yesterday she was really scared of my chilled small dogs (our larger rescue is pretty shy so didn't go close) and cowering behind the guy's legs.
Met them again today, she's noticeably less scared of the other dogs, and was sniffing around interested in the tree stumps, bins and hedgerows. Still some way from being sociable, but the steps she's made in a couple of days are really encouraging and I'm sure she's going to be a lovely, happy dog, despite the treatment she's been subject to.
tl;dr - humans are shit, dogs are way too good for us

Thanks for the tip 👍they look like exactly what we've been looking for our 18 month old Saluki. Don't mind spending whatever now he's almost fully grown and will be able to wear it for a while. Tried jumper style warmers but getting it on him was a two person job so not suitable for every day but their side secure design looks good.

Just bought a dogtrace x20 tracker which we'll be getting to grips with over the Christmas holidays so if anyone is considering buy one I'll let you know how we get on. I did loads of research on trackers and this was really expensive but meant to be great. Hopefully i won't get my moneys worth if you know what i mean. Just a reliable piece of insurance 🤞

Here’s Kip :) He’s a Portuguese rescue. No idea of his origins, but he seems to to have won the proportionality lottery for a dog conceived in the streets.

We really rate ruff wear, we have the harness / collar and less for ours.
We were planning on getting their dog coat that has a harness integrated into it. We have to get one with good chest coverage because our cocker spends half the time in the bush

Yeah he's a good looking boy looks like some sort of sighthound/possibly pointer cross?

You're welcome. They have some YouTube videos about sizing and fit that are well worth a watch. Every time we've used the videos to size stuff for Otto the jumper/t-shirt/coat has been perfect.

We bought an Equafleece (well, Hotterdog, but same thing I think) yesterday. Went for the coat so just need to get his head through and tighten a strap under his belly. Will report back later after walkies!
Mouthing is pretty common in dogs I've known (particularly Airedales, for some reason) - they just grab your wrist, with no pressure, when they're happy or excited. Haven't ever seen it long-term, yelping, acting hurt and telling them 'No' firmly has sorted it out.
