It is a tricky one... lots of grey area I guess... like someone said, I don’t suppose it occurs to the rule makers that cyclists can travel hundreds of miles in the name of exercise. I guess over Christmas, with the added lock down element thrown in, the streets of London are going to be relatively dead anyway. But I think maybe if I can throw in a small loop of Essex that avoids traffic lights every 10 meters. I’m not exactly travelling that far away from where I live. For example, in this vague definition they’ve thrown out, I don’t see doing a loop that takes me maybe 25/30 miles away from my front door as a problem. But maybe I’m just telling myself that coz it suits me...
