  • Pretty sure 32h but will check when I'm home

  • For sale CaadX sz 56 - £150

I have this genuine cannondale caadx, from the notorious cannondale caad lineage, some say it bares resemblance to the classic lines of the notorious "caad track", not i, but some.

i rode this over the summer, it was a lovely bike, but i now how a heavy, ugly steel gravel wagon which wins my heart, and simply one pair of shapely legs. I have no time for this fast, light nimble mile muncher which descends on rails and feels snappy out the saddle while providing a rather compliant ride..

this was previously built by a discerning local enthusiast , those of you who know them know they would sooner drive somewhere than ride something below their standards, it's an impeccable example of a caad X

in the sale you will get

this fine cannondale frame set in go faster red
    a 400mm uncut thomson seatpost
    a saddle
a fine curation of assorted and desirable stickers applied to the frame by a local artist (myself)
a non squeaking and silky bb30 bottom bracked, fitted and ready for your choice of crank
    Optional extras:

master blaster frame pump to fit as seen in pics - £10
new 105 FD band on to fit - £15

If you have any questions about this please, feel free to message me, I have included some photos of it as it is now, and some of how i had it built up

    thank you for reading

  • Looking for something big and beatery:

Fixed/SS/geared, all things considered. 58-60cm ideally

Anyone have anything for sale that fits the bill?

  • I've still got this if you're after a project.

    @ginllfixit

  • Oh interesting, thanks. It's for my brother who has just moved back to Manchester and is basically bike illiterate (sending me ads for £300 Quellas asking if they're good etc) so a builder-upper is probably not ideal. I'll have a think and maybe pop into the charity bike shop and see what they have.

Do you have any bits that would help it on its way to a full bike?

  • Pretty much everything except wheels. Charity bike shop a good shout, as would be Platt Fields Bike Hub & the project in Alex Park too (I forget it's name).

If he has £300 budget Alex at Deadrats might have something decent ready to ride too?

  • I've suggested he buys this and I can help him build something up and he seems keen. I'll PM you now.

  • Hi, long time since I last posted.
I’ve got a 56cm Genesis Equilibrium Disc Frameset for sale.
Bad points: bubbling to paint under chainstays, some surface rust that’s occurred after a chip in the paint I would think. It’s high carbon Reynolds 725. The frame is 4 years old and hasn’t been used for 2 years (kept in spare bedroom - dry). Usual cable rub, chip to rear of fork crown paint. Scuffs inside fork crown from mudguards rubbing.
Good points: no dents. No cracks. Looks good. Mudguards and stem included (if wanted) barrel adjusters on head tube work. Internal cable routing for front brake in fork. Plenty of mount points, all bolts present.

I’ve included a photo of it built up to give you an idea of geometry.

Tyre clearance is max 32c according to spec but there was plenty of room with 32c tyres fitted.

I was looking for £200 advertised elsewhere but would let it go to a forum member for £175.

    Thanks!

  • Don't know if anyone uses this but here goes...

Got a 700c dynamo wheel going. Shutter Precision PV-8 hub laced to Kinlin XR-22t rim (nice, wide and tubeless compatible). 32 double butted spokes. Tubeless tape. Done a couple of thousand km and is a little grubby but the brake surface looks good and the hub is working fine.

    £80 pick up Stretford

  • Bargain.

  • SOLD SOLD SOLD

  • Would you post?

  • Post to London?

  • Would prefer local, but given how dead this place is if there's no interest in a week or so I'd probably post the wheel.

Frame's a 56, which might be a bit big for you? If I'm going to the hassle of packing it up, I'd probably just be a bit of a dick and stick it on ebay in an attempt to cash in on the whole global bike shortage thing.

  • Would prefer local, but given how dead this place is

01fix1 is your best bet for local sellz these days.

  • Fair game, not for me but for a colleague of mine, let me know if you change your mind!
