That purple gazelle....

Amazing! Have you ridden either of them?

i gave the 731OS a run out in fixie skidder wide bar mode for about 6 months with some spare parts box bits, but have since transferred all the parts over to my criterium frame and am slowly re building it with da7700, really like the feel of it great responsive frame, front end is a bit flexy though, bit like my old raleigh 753r will be nicer in geared mode
felt like puppy killing so took all the nasty bits off

purple one is 75% complete with da7400 with royce / mavic ceramic wheelset, getting it slowly together
both could be 2021 bikes -

From Instagram it looks like there is a full polish build being finished at the moment...

Ooh nice, cheers for that - wasn't following him on IG, am now!
In unrelated shiny news I polished an old Shimano aero seatpost last week & was about to start on a scratched up 600 stem - was fairly pleased with myself before I looked at the sturdy Instagram too

very nice. beautiful welds

It's the clean front end that I like, the lack of cables and the absence of massive aero headtube to hide them in

Has he figured out how to put a double on there? Then it’ll really be amazing. 1x on a road bike>>>

How does the seat post clamp work?
-
• #1543
There's a pinch bolt on the non drive side. Doing that up clamps the post
-
• #1544
That's very pretty. Imo it's too hip these days to hide your brand name though.

It looks amazing, but the price increases are eye-watering.
-

Yeah it's pretty much doubled in a year. However, it now includes all the added 3D parts so stem, post, crankset and Ti forks. There's a huge amount of backdated design and development time that's now being paid off in the new pricing I'd imagine.

I appreciate all the r&d he’s doing and clearly he needs to make a living at this. But £8k as a base price takes it into the realms of a very select few.
I’ve been gradually putting aside some money thinking I might get one made, but now I’ve got to find twice as much as before and I’m not really sure I want custom forks and cranks too.

He's super flexible, I'm pretty sure he'd still offer the 'basic' frameset to those who ask. But yes I agree the new pricing has pushed it out of reach for most, I wouldn't be able to afford it now.

Currently waiting for my Reilly back from a paint refresh and colour matching new forks.
Very bored of the brushed finish; the back end is being bead blasted along with the seatpost.
