Seeking opinions on the surly forks, it's time to change them up a bit. Options:
-powdercoat to match
-powdercoat to complement
-powdercoat black
-hammerite in black or a dark grey (apparently you can mix the hammered finish paint)
More extreme options:
-swap it out for something 'lighter' visually (something lugged like a straggler fork), holding onto it for an inbred/piolet rigid bikepacker
Powdercoat to match is my current intention but have a slight reservation that it might be too intense/heavy on the eye.
Builds like this are keeping me convinced the segmented fork can work, though obviously mine is a fair bit burlier:
