  • Finally took some better* photos of this, as I need to sell it.

*Yes I know the colour isn't consistant I will look at this later.

  • Flawless

  • That is such a sweet ride. Glws

  • Super nice

  • Caught up with the last few pages - dynamo routing, van and now this brown lemon. Great stuff!

  • Thanks chaps, means a lot!

  • Always wanted a set of these, they came up cheap on eBay so i couldnt resist.

  • Better photos of this at last:

Pretty pleased as its basically a parts bin build. Clearances are excellent and not in a BSO way, the bridge / crown are in sensible places so I am almost tempted to put mudguards on as I dont think they would clog.

MY last step was to service the rear hub, which I did yesterday:

The hub internals were filthy inside, and the pawls weren's engaging properly, which gave not only meant some lag when pedaling, but a very large clunk every so often when they did. I cleaned all the internals out, streched the springs, and lightly lubes the pawl piviots. Now the freehub engages super quick and its actually clicky again.

  • I also fitted these

(chaining ended up going on the inside though)
Proper photos to follow once we get a dry day.

  • I love this build a lot, utterly fantastic.

  • This is all very lovely

  • thank you both!

  • My last bits of work before lockdown where to full strip Scott for sale in the new year

and strip down my partners Genesis for rebuilding, BB needed chasing but thats as far as I got.

Im probably going to use the wheels, 1x9 groupset and brakes from it to rebuild my old Croix de Fer as a flatbar gravel thing to sell. I was looking forward to cracking on with this over the winter break, but not to be now, alas...

  • Dibs on the Scott plz? Dm me?

  • Someone has had long term dibs, they're going to let me know in the new year if they still want it.
I'll send the details to you Incase

  • ride Farr forks ordered so i'll post a photo in its current state

  • rep

  • I think I’m going to buy myself some new framebuilding related tools and so that the bailiffs aren’t knocking on the door, I think I’ll relinquish my dibs on the Scott if Fred’s interested. I can’t afford all the things I’d like to buy sadly.

  • Good news for you @fredtc will DM you to confirm

  • Made a small bag to keep straps / axle spares / tools in for the van with the help of my Mother (who is a Wiz on the sewing machine). Will put two screws and washers on the inside of the the rear doors and hang the bag on them.

  • Neat.. your mum is awesome

  • What was wrong with the Scott?

It's not as good as mine, but it was one of your best projects :)

  • Too short in both TT and ST, new project is 99% done and fits much better.
