It's nice stuff, but not what I'd call 'proper German lager'--it's a speciality beer. The Augustiner that @tb posted is. It's worth pointing out that most things that would be called 'lager' in Britain wouldn't be called "Lager" in Germany. It's not a broad category there.
Why have I never had proper German lager before? This stuff is perfect for swilling in front of mindless telly.
