Hi guys - asking for advice here:

I wanna turn this ALAN Super Record into a city single speed.

But i just noticed (stupidly) that it has the gear sprockets on it. Frustrates me aesthetically to have them there with a track/single speed set up. Not all ALAN frames do, in fact most dont.

Wanna what the deal is here, can you take them off? I presume they are welded in.

Wut?

Do you mean vertical dropouts, as opposed to horizontal? Yeah, not ideal for SS.

Do you mean the down tube shifter bosses?

But agreed with @Lolo, that frame is not very suitable for a single speed setup.

Sell the fragile Alan and buy a suitable frame.
