I bought the salamons. They're well funky. I tried them on in decathlon 2 weeks ago and thought they felt good. Bought from start fitness (as decathlon didn't have my size). Arrived last week.
School routine has changed this week so I'm cycling the smallest one over and then supposed to be running. Didn't manage Monday. Did a pavement run yesterday. Hoping today will feature muddy paths/Dulwich woods. Which is all I have unless I cycle down to South Norwood or Beckenham place. (crystal palace is just a muddy side path really).TL;Dr
Bought them to Ponce in, haven't ponced in them yet. Am a Ponce. -

But think how poncey they'll look when you finally get to ponce in them!

Make sure you wash them after every run

Pre Ponce
And post Ponce. From my limited experience: they're snug (I'm a 7, in Nike this is bang on. In Adidas a 7 is too tight and a 7.5 is well sloppy. These salamons are Nike like.)
I ran anywhere there wasn't tarmac and on tarmac too. Didn't slip. Didn't fall over.
Didnt feel horrible.to run in.

2018 me would offer to help pace you on an attempt but 2020 me would be a few minutes behind you.
Have a go, start at at a comfortably uncomfortable pace and be prepared to suffer... it's only 20 minutes...

Got my new (ages ago) trainers mucky tonight. They grip in the mud well, happy with them.
Saw a Badger too, nice.

Final tempo session before half marathon on Sunday, 10 miles incl. 5 miles @ 5:30/m . Would be nice to think race pace could be close that but I suspect not, once all the 180-degree turns have been negotiated. #sandbagging Feeling pretty lively though and the Saucony Endorphin Speed still feel lovely.

How's the ankle?
I'm in the same boat, running for me is as much about mental health as physical fitness. I rolled my ankle last year, had my foot in a boot and was absolutely gutted I couldn't run or ride for 6 weeks. I joined a gym and got myself on the rowing machines, which was a lifeline. Would highly recommend, if the news is bad.

Just back from giving it a shot. Notes:
-went out way too hard, need to reel it in and try for a negative split maybe
-couldn't get on top of my breath, potentially just not fit enough
-horrendous stitchesThere's still time! Enjoying the process if nothing else

Just checked your Strava... Good effort & glad you enjoying process. I've got some ideas, can share on a dm or chat even?

Ankles feeling ok today thank god! Weird how similar a savage and not too bad ankle roll feels at the time. I’m going to test it tomorrow with a gentle jog and then hopefully progress to a longer run and mince pies on Saturday.

No, Run Through HM at the Olympic Park. They confirmed arrangements only yesterday but Health England got in touch and said infection rates are going mad, so sorry it's off. There's an option to run it virtually to earn a medal and a t-shirt, but I don't think that'll wash with the VLM champs qualification! (Or run it on a postponed date in September 2021 but the moment would have passed...)

NE London and Whipps Cross just got mentioned on BBC News. I was up at Whipps yesterday after falling off my bike.
Hopefully I haven't caught anything. I didn't break anything, so I'm on a lucky streak

Friend worked at Whipps last weekend. Covid test yesterday... Be careful.
Back to virtual racing until February I reckon.
Must be nearly time for some yearly highlights and targets.

I'll take some pics with them on (when/if I ever wear them...). I can't link to where I bought them cos I'm in China and bought them on taobao.

How was the fit? Would they suit shallow narrow feet
I have absolutely no idea if you can but there is only one way to find out!
I'm in a similar situation. I have a PB of 20.44 but am currently fitter than before. I had a great November running but then have had a lazy week following giving blood. I'm racing my brother on Christmas day and am hoping the competition will be enough to get me over the line
