  • My only thought.... Where are your towels going? I know with that layout if I put a towel rail by the shower I would always get in the bath then realise they were out of reach and vice versa...

  • I was wondering about this. I think we'd have a heated towel rail on the wall immediately on the left when you come in, and then probably a single rail or hook next to the shower so you don't have to pad across the room.

  • Yes, I personally would place the heated towel rail next to whichever you use most out of bath and shower, or go full 40k bathroom and have a heated towel rail (and towels) next to both...

  • Not having the heated towel rail positioned so that you can grab your towel from it whilst in the shower cubical is a massive layout fail IMO.

  • heated towel rail

    Two bits of advice;

    1. If water heated make sure it's plumbed into the hot water NOT the heating. Otherwise you need the heating on to dry towels.
    2. Get the absolute largest you can fit.
  • I've been converting our old electric heaters to newer ones.

    The old 650w oil filled radiator/towel rail could be roasting hot in half an hour, so good for warming a towel but took forever to heat the bathroom.

    The 700w new one is a great heater taking the bathroom from 17deg overnight temperature to 21deg in about 30 minutes.
    The bottom half has less power so warms the towels a bit, without compromising the heating too much.
