Bit of a Ted talk. Sorry.
Do people normally announce they're going to have a child in Ted talks?!
Congrats again, but for me a shower over a bath is neither horse nor mule, I want my bath to be a bath and my shower to be a shower. This might be influenced by years of crappy rental properties though. At least your bath will be a decent size so you won't be slipping around the bottom of it.
Dont say that! You'll have me doubting my decision.... what's really wrong with showers over baths? Not my dream set up, but my for now set up...
Plan is to have a laundry and storage room, we have a kid on the way if all goes well and I've seen the state of other peoples houses after kids and I am not letting that happen to mine.
Planning to keep the plumbing in so if/when we get a loft done which gives us more bedrooms and storage the slice I'm taking off the bathroom can be turned into a wet room/walk in shower room/sauna.
I also kinda feel a massive grand bathroom in a tiny modest terrace house unbalances things, it would be the size of the spare bedroom which is madness. Friends who live local have much smaller bathrooms and extra rooms which just feels like it makes more sense (sadly we can't create a real usable room without some drastic plumbing and remodelling we don't have the appetite of money for.
