Builders generally hate small jobs. By the time they’ve got on site and fucked around working out where they can plug stuff in and have a fag, that’s half a day gone.
Ours have been here for seven months now and annoy me on a daily basis by messing around and being slack. Thank fuck they’re not on a day rate except for the odd extra bit I’ve negotiated.

seven months (!) what are you building, an office block ?! ours were here for three months - was definitely over it by that point even. can't imagine how pish a seven month build would be - you have my sympathies.

i have some pointing on the external wall that i suspect is facked and is allowing water into the internal wall. it's very localised so hopefully nothing too onerous to put right, so not exactly a large job by my estimations.
