One thing I learnt online that I now agree with is theres no cheesing in Demons Souls, if it kills them its a valid strategy. To that end get a bow and 100 arrows and sit on the left of the tunnel behind a corpse and you can shoot it with impunity.
Don't forget you can just go do another level too. Might be worth doing 5-1 and 4-1 first.
Personally I didn't know about the 50% equip limit for not rolling properly so really struggled with the game until I worked that out.

Got my Demons Souls platinum earlier today! NG++. Thief - Dex build with Sharp Uchigatana +5 and Rogue set...
Maneater was the biggest shock to the system for me in ng+ I had to poison cloud them over about 20 minutes. in NG++ I just ran past, cast firestorm which 1 shot the first then just had to wait for a chance with the second. I've ended with all worlds in White Tendency so im tempted to go fractured mode to collect the ceramic coins for the Penetrator Armor set.My final trophy was to assist another player and I didn't seem to be getting any interest on my blue sign, so this morning I rolled a Knight and had a quick bash, I didn't realise that the fat roll is the only negative to a heavy armor set, you can still sprint just as fast as a light armor wearer and I felt invincible, cleared 4 bosses in my first life and tried to offer my services for tower knight but still nobody wanted help. Went back to my main and finally got called up for Flamelurker, easy clap.
God of war looks great on Ps5 but ive completed it once before, there's too much story so I just want to go back to more DS.
Speaking of Demons.
I’ve started on Tuesday and having a hard times :(
Currently kind of stuck at big spider mama in the mines (skipped the big knight with huge shield from first “level” as wasn’t sure if I’m powerful enough to even touch him).
Only gave the spider 3-4 tries, but the movement and speed of it is too crazy.
From Soul games only played Bloodborne which is very much enjoyed and finished (maybe because it’s a bit more hack and slash than Demons Souls).
Not looking for any guides or solutions, just crying out loud - that’s all.
