It's still a mess in the workshop. Everytime I free up some space, more crap/tools show up to fill that void. But there's progress from time to time.
Christmas holidays are here and I have a bit more time on my hands. Have been sorting through piles of tools and have begun making storage solutions for them.
First up was the hammers. Some birch ply and some stainless steel tubing were turned into a rack.

Next step was sorting out some shelves for boxes of random stuff. That led me to be annoyed at my old planer being in the way. It's been stored a friend of a friend's for a few years, which hadn't been the best solution. It needs to be sold so had to get some TLC first.

I decided to go straight for the mechanical rust removal, so put a brass wheel on the angle grinder and went at it.

One of the handles are broken and the blade guard is missing, but other than that it's shaping up nicely.
Edit: And the fence is stuck.

I wasn't actually sure about selling it, but a quick count revealed four jointers in the workshop, which seems slightly excessive...

This looks better than the ice-cream truck to me !
The installer was quite happy with the foundation. Having it centered on the concrete would have been nice, but something about the pipes...
Looks like it's about time we closed the gap above the door.
