  • The installer was quite happy with the foundation. Having it centered on the concrete would have been nice, but something about the pipes...
Looks like it's about time we closed the gap above the door.

  • This is my favourite project thread at the moment

  • This is going sooooooooo slow.

  • Don't fucking take me riding then.

  • Replace ribs with stainless steel sheet?

  • A highly enjoyable read, thanks for telling the story.

  • How are we getting on?

  • I am getting updates!

  • It's still a mess in the workshop. Everytime I free up some space, more crap/tools show up to fill that void. But there's progress from time to time.
Christmas holidays are here and I have a bit more time on my hands. Have been sorting through piles of tools and have begun making storage solutions for them.
First up was the hammers. Some birch ply and some stainless steel tubing were turned into a rack.

  • Next step was sorting out some shelves for boxes of random stuff. That led me to be annoyed at my old planer being in the way. It's been stored a friend of a friend's for a few years, which hadn't been the best solution. It needs to be sold so had to get some TLC first.

  • I decided to go straight for the mechanical rust removal, so put a brass wheel on the angle grinder and went at it.

  • One of the handles are broken and the blade guard is missing, but other than that it's shaping up nicely.
Edit: And the fence is stuck.

  • I wasn't actually sure about selling it, but a quick count revealed four jointers in the workshop, which seems slightly excessive...

  • Sell surplus buy stuff you don't gave.
Ă‹DIT: nice to have you back. Looks amazing!!!

  • That's the plan. Three jointers and two tablesaws are going to be sold and will finance a quality tablesaw.

  • Slow and steady

  • Is this for work or a mega serious hobby?!

  • The plan is to be my own boss part time. But right now it's just hobbying.

  • More birch ply tool storage. This time a mallet rack.
