I've never had anything from work for Christmas. Did have a good Christmas do a couple of years ago, a trip to Manchester velodrome and a crate of Carlsberg between the 4 of us who turned up in the back of the bosses car on the way home.

I assumed it was to prevent them from craving salt and going on to salted roads...?

Ok ok. Deer and moose crave salt because their diet requires it and the plants they eat don’t provide enough. Allowing them to lick your car will make them accustomed to human contact which never turns out well for wild animals. Also road salt generally is laden with many additional goodies that moose definitely do Not require.
