Ok ok. Deer and moose crave salt because their diet requires it and the plants they eat don’t provide enough. Allowing them to lick your car will make them accustomed to human contact which never turns out well for wild animals. Also road salt generally is laden with many additional goodies that moose definitely do Not require.

The cars... why can’t they lick the cars?
I assumed it was to prevent them from craving salt and going on to salted roads...?
