Gold anodised pickguard is a bad fit and must go
I've had a few Japan Jaguars and one thing I've noticed is that the pickguards are different shapes for Japan Jaguars vs USA Jags vs Mex Jags - its possible the same applies to Jazzmasters and the guy here used the wrong type. They're brilliant guitars tho, the Japan ones are super underrated.
Traded my Partscaster for this 2004 Jazzmaster Crafted in Japan with Staytrem bridge and Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups.
Gold anodised pickguard is a bad fit and must go. Pots are a bit loose and wobbly so a rewire would be of benefit. Trem arm is really loose (too loose) and needs something done to it. Tuner upgrade and new bone nut in the to do list also.
It sounds and feels sublime though!
