• @bq @lynx tbf I don't know much about them, my boss has told me the Commer is more practical than a T2 more space on the inside. I went through a whole lets buy a hipster/old/rusty camper phase last year, was on the cusp of buying the attached T2 last year with loads of new panels and new mig welder for 3k. Had a really weird viewing and chickened out in the end.

Love a Commer... British too :) That one from Ebay looks great buy it @bq ;)

  • In my defence, I forgot the family owned an ex bt dodge van.

Lucky escape as a decent welder is the £7-800 with consistant wire feed and variable weld strength and can still weld at 200v and 8 amps........at the end of an extension cable.

  • Lucky escape there, although I’m digging the Borbet ‘A’s. Must have hubs off something else?

I went through a Commer phase a while ago and learned all about them, but it’ll never happen as Mrs Q hates campers. And I hate camping. It would have been a Le Mans bus, really. Still I did find out that a Vauxhall Ecotec V6 from an Omega would fit in the engine bay, and was wondering about a Ford BOB Cosworth V6, as the lower tech Scorpio seemed like an easier car to use as a donor. You could probably convert and still keep it within the 8 points to avoid IVA if you were careful.
