All these films have no soul
That's been my feeling about the film industry for decades (and I used to go to the cinema several times a week when there were still things worth seeing and loved film). Theatrical skills have been largely lost, it seems, and digitisation has made it worse. I stopped paying attention about fifteen years ago, and I can't even imagine how bad it must have got by now. I'm sure there are still good things, but I just haven't had the time to try and find them.
I reckon Netflix and Amazon are doing terrible things to the film industry. They take a half baked beer mat-scrawled idea of a plot, cover it in glue and flick it at a list of easily bought A-B list Hollywood actors.
Lots of green screen ensues, even if it's just some people walking through a park.
All these films have no soul, it's like they're made in a vacuum.
