A protest which took cabbages to Hackney Town Hall, apparently in response to a Tweet in which Cllr Jon Burke said: “If it wasn’t for us immigrants, ‘born n bred’ Londoners would still be eating cabbage with every meal.” This is apparently because he'd been receiving hostility about his background.
