Looking for someone to join our shared photographic studio in Hackney - New space available

UPTATE 2024 - One of the photographers who we were sharing with has chosen to leave so we are looking for a new person. See bottom post for details. It's in the new space, not the railway arch.

OLD POST

We are looking for someone to share our studio and have their own office space in Hackney. It's a shared photo studio by Cambridge Heath station in Hackney, but you don't have to be a photographer.

Currently we are a group of photographers (including me) who each have our own space and then book out the main space for shoots when we need. All really nice people. I moved in just over a year ago and it has really helped me push myself in both personal and editorial shoots which would not have been cost effective if I was renting a commercial studio each shoot.

I'm going to bump this rather than start a new thread. We are now looking for new people to move into our studio so we can keep it going. Three of the five current tenants are moving on for various reasons and it would be great to replace them. A range of spaces are available and it doesn't necessarily have to be a photographer. All the details on the gumtree advert. I'll post a few more pics on here shortly.

Dredge, but curious about this. What happened with it in the end?

Sorry, I missed this. We all left in the end, but two of us have taken on a great space in De Beauvior. We are right in the middle of doing it up, decorating etc and will likely be looking for one more person to start in Jan, so watch this space.

We have done up an amazing studio in the Rose Lipman Building in DeBeauvoir, N1. We have one desk space available in the shared photographic studio. You will be sharing with two other photographers .You will have your own keys to access to the building which houses local creative businesses. Includes your own desk space, additional secured kit store and a share of the main shoot space. Ha, is that the old library?

Yeah, the building is the old estate library and a main hall/theatre. It was then the Hackney Archives until it was moved to the CLR James Library in Dalston.

As per the update on the first post. We are looking for someone to join our shared photographic studio in the Rose Lipman Building, 43 De Beauvoir Rd, N1. We found one of the exitsting photographers on here so I have big hopes. Also potentially open to non photographers looking for a space to use on a regular basis.

You would get dedicated storage space and 4 shoot days a month included, with the option of additional days at a discounted rate. The rent is £340 per month.

You will be sharing with three photographers who have been in the space for over three years. You will have your own keys and flexible access to the building which houses local creative businesses and the amazing Batch Baby coffee shop.

AOP are doing a membership incentive at the mo where existing members and proposed new joiners get a discount on membership. it’s worth it for the free legal advice not just the awards.

I found one of the other photographers I share with on here, and there is currently a fixie parked in the studio!

Well, that only proves what I'm saying. That's just chucked in a corner. Where's the altar to fixiedom? The candles, the stained-glass windows, the worshipping choir?
