Yeah, if I still lived in Oz with actual workbenches and power tools and wordworking shit. Who has that crap in London? I'd just go out to hard rubbish and superglue some scrap to the top

Yeah, I've returned stuff before, but it's only small stuff, not a massive desk. Do I wanna piss about with couriers?

You can also save a bit of money. I went for a cheap £20ish plywood piece of wood whilst I figured out what dimensions I’d make the final desktop

That was original plan but apparently wood needs to perfectly squared off or some bs

Actually you just reminded me about some spare kitchen cupboard doors I refused to throw out. Probably too small but a possibility.

You wouldn't believe it looking at me now but I received special awards in woodwork back in school. Back when I had some patience to actually get a nice finish to a piece of wood - two of my coffee tables are still in use at my folk's place.
Now, I'm like "don't care, will this help my aching body? yes?" moneygun

Plan the plain planing or pay in pain the plane

From what I've seen (the box is unopened) it just screws into the underside of the desktop.
There are no mounting points anywhere on the frame...
The one I have is currently dibsed FYI.

Yeah fuck me - I wish someone had told me.
Apparently there are electric planers but I can’t help think of this:

I have used the Idasen 120x70 for about 6months and am pretty happy with it. There is a bit of movement when it is in stand position. I don't use the memory function.

That's a great deal and I would be in for it any other time.

I live just up the road. If anyone wants this, I could potentially hide it in my garage until someone can collect...

They've obviously got a job lot of them, it's not just one, plus:

Starting back again tomorrow after what seems like months what with house move and Christmas. Office still needs decorating and likely replastering (big hole down to the lathe boards behind the taped paper, just wanted to keep dust down in the room). Got some racks slung under the desk for better cable management and a load of velcro cable ties. Just need a longer USBC cable to lose the hanging one for the left monitor. Bios of the laptop is locked down by work so will likely keep it on the desk for power up reasons. Desktop itself might get replaced once I redecorate as it's just a cheap £6 IKEA number

Will it power on with the right kind of USB C hub/dock?
I've only returned something to Amazon once and the process was painless although it took a while. It would have been awkward if I needed to arrange to be in for the collection but that wasn't a problem.
