Ha, If you had read my comments from a few pages back about Japanese whisky you might not have ;)
If you've never had any japanese whisky then you can't go too wrong with Hibiki Harmony or Nikka from the barrel, they're pretty good representations of the Japanese style and you can usually find them in any supermarket that has a half decent whisky section. I don't think I know anyone that hasn't liked those two.
The problem with Japanese whisky is anything with an age statement is going to cost more that £100 at the cheapest.
If you were doing your whisky tasting in person (I'm assuming it's virtual at the minute) then it'd be a decent shout for you all to chip in and buy a yamazaki 12 but it's definitely not worth 125 sheets imo.
